Fragment 1 \u2014 When Recipe Fades<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In this fragment, I reflect on a moment when experimentation slowly pulled me away from the recipe \u2014 and how the material responded.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning, I followed the recipe.<\/strong>
The pots were solid. Predictable. They held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I made more, curiosity slowly took over.
I began to adjust.
Less cement.
More sand.
More peat moss.
More coco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought I was improving the material.
In reality, I was drifting away from what held it together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fractures came quietly at first.
Then more clearly.
Sometimes days later.
Sometimes without warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I searched for the cause for a long time.
It wasn\u2019t carelessness.
It wasn\u2019t a lack of effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was exploration without noticing the shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recipe hadn\u2019t failed me.
I had simply stepped away from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even now, it still happens sometimes.
But today, it\u2019s a different story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
