What My Hands Learned from Cooling. Today, while working on one of my pots,
I paused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not because something was wrong \u2014
but because I started wondering
about the air around my hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop was calm.
About fifteen degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warm enough for my plants to rest through winter.
Cool enough to slow everything else down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I looked at the pot differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this temperature, nothing rushes.
The cement doesn\u2019t hurry to harden.
The reaction takes its time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so do I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I learned that cold doesn\u2019t stop the material \u2014
it asks it to be patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Too much heat forces things.
Too much cold freezes them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But here, in this quiet middle ground,
the material settles gently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strength doesn\u2019t arrive all at once.
It builds, slowly, invisibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That day, I understood something simple:
not all progress needs warmth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some things need just enough cold
to be allowed to become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
