Welcome to my universe
A Different Way of Gardening.
This blog is not a manual.
It’s a story — a story of learning, attention, and finding joy in simplicity.

Craftsman at heart
My name is Jacques, and I spend my days in a quiet workshop, surrounded by tools, bags of moss, perlite, stones, cement.. and shapes waiting to be born.
There is nothing particularly modern here.
And yet, within these walls, my pockets are full of dreams.
The Art of Hypertufa
I am over seventy years old, and I work with hypertufa — a raw, mineral material that has been somewhat forgotten.
In my hands, it comes alive.
It becomes a place of welcome, a texture, a quiet and imperfect beauty.
Each piece carries traces of time, pressure, and patience.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is forced.
Not a Manual, but a Story
This space comes from the heart.
It is not a how-to guide, nor a collection of instructions.
I write for those who are drawn to slow creation, silent observation, and letting the material speak for itself.
If you are looking for shortcuts, you won’t find them here.
But if you enjoy the long way around, you may feel at home.
A Lifetime of Learning
I didn’t learn this at school.
I learned it with my hands, my instincts, and time.
And now, I want to share that experience — not as a lesson, but as an invitation.

Listening to the Garden
I am neither a master nor a teacher.
I am someone who takes the time to listen — to people, to silence, and to the garden itself, even when it says nothing.
Especially when it says nothing.
I believe every stone holds a story, if we are patient enough to hear it.
A Place for Quiet Magic
Here, you will find my creations, simple ideas, workshop memories, and a few shared secrets.
And perhaps, a hint of quiet magic.
When everything is still, I sometimes feel as though an old ginkgo tree is whispering nearby…
or that an unseen fox is moving gently through the plants.
Let’s Walk This Path Together
If this resonates with you —
if it touches something quiet inside —
I invite you to follow along.
To read.
To dream.
And perhaps, to begin shaping your own path.
